2025 - SALTIGA has been reborn.

The core technology is the power drive design. The design concept of the next generation large spinning reel pursues high reliability to safely deal with large fish all over the world. New technology to fulfill the mission imposed on SALTIGA. In a sense, it is the identity of SALTIGA.
This Power Drive Design consists of two technology units: the body unit [Power Drive Engine] and the rotor unit [Power Drive Rotor]. The
[Power Drive Engine] is made up of two technologies: the large-diameter [Oversized Power Digigear] and the [Roller Power Oscillation] that uses a ball bearing system. These are housed in the large-sized \"Full Metal (AL) Monocoque Body\" that is extremely strong, making it light from the initial movement and providing a more efficient and powerful winding force.
The front unit is made up of the metal (AL) [Power Drive Rotor], which is based on the [Power Drive Engine]. With a rational spherical shape, it achieves further rigidity while maintaining low inertia. The synergistic effect of the [Crank Power Bail] and [Tough Line Roller System] installed in this rotor enables accurate line delivery and a smooth transition to winding operation.
While reviewing the fundamental design concept of the reel, the drag mechanism was also completely redesigned. Up to the 14000 model, ATD Tough is used, which is made up of a total of 14 washers made of carbon and metal, while the 18000 model and above are equipped with a new drag mechanism called DRD. This is a completely new mechanism with eight metal rollers on one plate, which suppresses the decrease in drag force due to frictional heat. Even in big games where you are forced to fight for a long time, it maintains a smooth start. The
long-distance casting performance has also been improved. Even under bad conditions, you want to deliver the lure as far as possible. In order to meet that expectation, the conventional LC-ABS was redesigned and the LC-ABS SW was newly developed, which has a two-stage taper shape on the upper side of the spool thread winding part toward the spool ring. This reduces the frictional resistance of the line and supports another stretch in the latter half of the cast.
In the field of big games, there is an extremely high risk of salty water entering due to wave overflow and sea breezes. Therefore, Mag Shield is implemented in three places on the rotating part of the line roller part, pinion part, and handle shaft part. It is the only large spinning reel that is completely waterproof.
The lineup includes the existing 8000, 10000, 14000, 18000, and 20000 models, and a new 25000 model has been developed. The line capacity, power, and winding speed required to catch super-large fish, such as large bluefin tuna, have been pursued to meet the high expectations of top anglers who lead the big game scene.
